  - As you have likely seen above, we will start including a weekly randomized poll in the 1SPU newsletter. This is more of a way to gamify this newsletter. We *are* a church for nerds, geeks, and gamers, after all.
- Funding Report
  - Checkpoint is at a pivotal point in our life as a plant. We need funding to continue this ministry as our initial launching grant runs out. We will include and update this chart in the newsletter to keep the community informed on how we’re doing. Open Table Discipleship
- Checkpoint has just announced a new initiative called Open Table Discipleship. We’ll be creating a workshop that will train church leaders to create a board game night of their own. We’re limiting the first run to just Western North Carolina UMC churches, but we’re hoping to expand in the future, depending on the success of our initial launch.
