my mind went to a BibleMan kind of place too as far as the main topic though, would make me wonder what their take is on the work of Tolkien and Gygax -- but generally takes like these have a chilling effect on someone like me who does follow Jesus and works in the industry... If I had to guess perhaps THP are not very well acquainted with the topic in contrast to the examples TWIG provides, hopefully they might consider checking them out one day!
They mention Tolkien's stories as redemptive. That ties pretty straight into my point that we ought to allow for redemption to be found in any art by our active discernment within art. I think they would be please by what they find, if they looked beyond the surface.
